More About This House

Beautiful new house (2003) built around the cabin which is dated from around 1850. If you have always had that dream of a place in the country, this could be it, and the price is right. (2100 sq ft) in the heart, of the foothills of Appalachia.

Currently configured as a gifts/antique store (1100 sq ft) downstairs, the upstairs apartment with laundry and kitchen and is 1000 sq ft. European style in the fact that the business is on the first level and the living apartment is on the second level. The staircase is on the outside of the house, in the back. Though it is currently configured as separate areas, with some studs and drywall, a spiral staircase, you could easily add two bedrooms to the 1100 sq.ft downstairs, upgrade the downstairs bathroom and you would have an awesome house for your large family for a few more dollars.

This is a growing area of the country and there are many needs for new businesses here, from new elegant restaurants to coffee shops and delis, this cabin is a wonderful starting point, in Blount County, AL. There's are a few display cases downstairs now and some gifts and antiques, but we have sold thousands of items from the downstairs store. I currently have a computer repair store in the store, and it is still a joy to walk up the steps to go home at night. The world's shortest commute to work.

The lot around the house is .6 acres. On the corner is a One Acre site that would be perfect for a home or business since it is located at the corner of roads.
