This 19th Century masterfully reconstructed Frontier log home was built in 1985 from disassembled 175 year old hand hewn heartwood oak logs with a modern stick built addition. It blends the rustic feel of the early 1800"s with the modern comfort of the 21st Century. The living room with stone fireplace and Master Bedroom with brick fireplace are the historic architectural heart of this home. The main floor, craftsman stairwell and 2nd floor hallway are constructed from oak, whearas, the master bedroom floor and ceiling are knotty pine. The original flooring of the disassembled home was used to make dining room built-ins, wainscot, interior doors and window trim. Owners are currently researching for more history of the original structure.
