The Great Outdoors...
In spring, sit on the porch and admire the mature white Dogwood tree in the front lawn. Later pick fresh cherries from the small grove of cherry trees in the backyard. In fall, pick some Damson plums to make a smooth liqueur or jam. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets year round. Dig behind the old summer kitchen to find old pottery shards, hand blown glass and other artifacts. Resurrect the old ice house lined with fieldstone. Bear Castle remains one of Lake Anna's true treasures.Archived in January, 2013
