More About This House

Located in the center of the Historic District of Zoar Village. The home boasts 2,528 square feet of living space and features 7 rooms, 3 bedrooms, 1 ½ baths, 1 foyer, two large hallways and sits on a corner lot. Yard is completely surrounded with a weathered Zoar style wood fence. Features a second floor laundry and a fully decorated and furnished vaulted ceiling 16 x 20 Wine Cellar.

Original white oak tongue and groove flooring with square nails is found throughout the home. All floor rugs and hand painted canvas floor mats are included, and all window treatments. Original historic 18 x 32 Wash House building sits to the rear of the home. Features three separate rooms. Laundry room where the Zoarites washed clothes still has the original cast iron wash tubs embedded in a brick fireplace, ‘his’ and ‘her’ privy and a workshop with an original workbench.

In 2005 a heated Carriage House was built to the rear of the property with three large car bays, workshop area and second floor storage. This was built in the same style as the original outbuilding and includes original Zoar windows from another home in Zoar. The Family Room includes a Jotul Wood-burning Stove. A new brick chimney was replaced to accommodate the wood burner.
