The John Hardy Home

Landmark home in Newcomerstown: the original 1874 Manor of the Honorable John Hardy. Designed by the renowned architect Jacob Snyder, the three-story brick Italianate home has just been restored with new corbels, soffits and facia. Side porches have been restored. New metal roofs on garage and barn. Home has metal roof (2021).
Home is recognized for its 60 foot Belvedere in the center. Ornate ceilings draw the eye upward to reflect architecture seen in European castles and cathedrals. Rounded windows, six fireplaces, marble mantels, hand painted floors and borders. Many floors have been sanded and refinished.
