Stately Elegance
Located in the National Historic District, Hyman Heights, this home exhibits the beautiful architecture of a 1920's Colonial Revival home, but updated for today's lifestyle. The exterior features a brick veneer, a symmetrical five-bay facade, and a side-gable roof with a dentiled cornice. Wings on the side elevations contribute to the overall symmetry. The gable-front entry porch is embellished with slender classical columns, while the doorway is enframed by sidelights and a fanlight. The residence occupies a spacious, elevated corner lot with a tree-lined walkway and a rear brick-veneered garage that is contemporary with house.In the late 1980's, the kitchen was enlarged and modernized and a large family room and full bath were added, connecting the main house to the garage.
