The Historic Israel House was refurbished in 1986-88 to preserve teh architectual authenticity of the home. It is an example of the transition between late Queen Anne style adn the early Colonial Revival.
A member of the National Historic Register. The bedrooms are large and works well even for today's living. Original gas light fixtures converted to electric, wood flooring, wall treatments, fireplace tiles and wood details, pressed tin wainscoting in kitchen. Master has exposed brick and wood ceiling as well as sunroom.

Parlor has double hung windows with multi-diamond pane upper, high ceilings, grooved door surrounds with cornerblocks.
