Tulley's Fancy

Serene Waterfront Perfection!
Serene Waterfront Perfection!
Tulley’s Fancy is one of the few surviving Federal period houses on Quaker Neck in the County of Kent. It is a typical brick, Flemish bond Maryland farmhouse of the 18th c.

The original details remain including finely detailed mantels. It is not a pretentious building but its understatement is powerful especially coupled with its setting and location on Lankford Creek and amazing condition. A complex of wonderful old outbuildings, including a large barn, granary, and studio completes this fine situation.

A remote waterfront garage situated on a bluff looking down Lankford asks to be something more.

The current owners have worked tirelessly to enhance its condition while being mindful of its historic value. A truly charming experience. It includes new systems, new kitchen and baths and restored everything.

Historic Chestertown lies with a short distance. The location could not be more central to Washington College- the 10th oldest college in America, live theatre, charming shops, fine 18th & 19th c. buildings, our historic Fountain Park and lovely Chester River.
