Charles M. Ball Home

Charles M. Ball Home, built in 1906, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and Register of Historic Kansas Places. It is located at 702 Spruce Street, Coffeyville, KS 67337. The property is for sale and has approximately $15,000 in transferable Kansas tax credits so your KS individual taxes will be "free" for several years!!! Charles Ball is best known for his involvement in the Dalton Gang’s hold-up of Condon Bank on October 5, 1892. As the gang entered the bank that morning, they encountered cashier Charles Ball, who concocted a story about the safe being on a time lock. Four of the five robbers were eventually fatally wounded by the ensuing gunfire outside the bank. Ball, who was involved in banking, business, and real estate dealings during the early 20th century, owned the house until his death in 1922.

The home has two apartment suites, one of the third floor and one as a garage apartment. It is centrally located near the town center and local community college.
