More About This Hotel/Steakhouse/Lounge
Historic 1912 hotel situated in charming Crofton, NE. This lovely hotel, restaurant & lounge is decorated in Victorian style and is packed full of historical photos, antiques and stories!
The Historic Argo Hotel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, boasts a full service kitchen, two bars (one on the main floor that seats 23 and one at the garden level that seats 45) a dining room that seats 60 and 11 guestrooms. The hotel has been restored back to its former grandeur. Transom windows over the doors, metal ceilings and a large oak staircase add to the periodic charm. The beautiful guestrooms are decorated with antiques but have modern amenities. They feature Wi-Fi, cable TV, air-conditioning and private bathrooms. All suites provide sitting areas, while most have Jacuzzi tubs and some offer full living rooms or balconies.
The exterior of this brick bed and breakfast is reminiscent of hotels of the early 1900s. A large front porch provides an area with comfortable seating for guests to visit or enjoy a glass of wine. A garden area with a gazebo has been the site of many summer weddings and also provides a place for hotel guests to sit and relax.
There are about 3000 sq ft per level. A grand oak staircase awaits you when you enter the warm and welcoming parlor at the entrance of the building. Also on the main level are the Leslie Brooks Dining Room, Doc's Bar, the kitchen, wait station and innkeeper's quarters. The garden level is where the Speakeasy Lounge and dance floor are located. There are incredibly large areas for storage. The guestrooms and laundry facilities are situated on the second level.
The kitchen and prep rooms have been recently renovated and all facilities are in State Health Department and Fire Marshall compliance.
