Built in 1836 by Count Joseph Marie Gabriel St. Xavier deChoiseul, French Consul- Charleston, SC and Savanna, GA
Built by Count deChoiseul, who was the cousin of France's King Louis Philippe XV, who reigned from 1816-1848, in Historic Flat Rock, NC as his summer home while performing duties as Consul to Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA.

Circlular Drive incompasses a statued fountain and pond with floraled landscaping. Rear columned-veranda which leads you in between two parlors.

Looking from the farside of back lawn the stately home shows center tower where a "meditation room" is located. Stautes for Mercury and busted mermaid fountain in leads up to rear veranda.

Overlooking the rear lawn with a statue of Mercury and large well established trees. Columns surround the veranda supporting wrap-around porch giving a true southern feel.
