This stately Between the Rivers Victorian style home was built by Dr. Eben B. Hillyer, a Civil War surgeon and President of the Rome Railroad. It has been home to several prominent Rome families including Ben Yancey. Calder Willingham, author and screenwriter (The Graduate,) is Eben Hillyer's great-grandson.
The 5,000 square foot home has been lovingly restored and is in pristine condition. It is located on a large, 5 terraced garden lot with 75 feet frontage. Grounds are entirely fenced with depth of terraces reaching 293 feet. Many blooming trees and plants provide backdrop of fountain view from back deck.
