Lucien Perkins House on National Register

House has unusual curved brick in the cornice, and the brick is laid in the Flemish Bond pattern. Walls are 4 bricks thick.
Completely updated, energy efficient 1820s federal house on National Historical Register 35 mi from Lexington, KY.

Parlor has all original woodwork, 11 ft ceilings, and original flooring which is believed to be chestnut.

All woodwork is original including glass doored wall cabinet not shown in picture, and oak flooring is also original.

The wall cabinet is original. All other woodwork was custom made as closely to original as possible. Pine flooring and fireplace are not original, but very nice. Paint is Shaker Village Wash House Ochre.

New granite, farmhouse sink, faucets, new paint, and hardwood refinished in 2011.

Kitchen/Dining part of 400 sq ft addition in 2002.

Master bath has antique reglazed claw foot tub and antique buffet vanity. Part of 2002 addition.

Bathroom was gutted in 2011. Everything is new from the plumbing and tankless water heater to ceramic tile and antique medicine cabinet.

Property has many mature trees and shrubs including dogwoods, magnolias, and crepe myrtles.
