Secluded Mediterranean Estate

Built in 1930, this Mediterranean Revival is a culmination of exotic European styles from Spain, Italy, Southern France, Northern Africa and influences around the Mediterranean Sea. Cora Armour, a wealthy widow from the area wanted a unique one-of-a-kind secluded estate. When Ganesha Heights was developed, Charles H Cheney a national acclaimed planning consultant of the time who also assisted locally with the Santa Barbara and Palos Verdes developments was hired. She sent her son John L Armour to Europe on the grand tour for ideas before he designed her elegant residence.
