The HermitageThe Hermitage, a National Historic Landmark house museum, incorporates a stone structure that was visited during the Revolutionary War by Washington, Hamilton, and Lafayette. It was the site of the marriage of Aaron Burr and Theodosia Prevost in 1782. Its picturesque Gothic Revival design dates to the 1847 remodeling by architect William H. Ranlett. |
