This country Victorian beauty was an original design of the renowned 19th century architect George F. Barber, built in 1900 for Dr. and Mrs. A. L. Charles. Dr. Charles was one of the founding residents of Lancaster, KS. Once a rival of Atchison and home to over 1000 residents, Lancaster is a quaint little town that boasts a gas station, bank, post office and a café. Lancaster also hosts a wonderful 4th of July celebration complete with parade, tractor pull and picnic.
