No. 4 Bell Schoolhouse, 1356 Wysong Rd., West Alexandria, Ohio
Known as the #4 Bell School (plaque w/ date of 1894 and #4 on gable end beneath bell tower), it was used as a school until the early 1950's. At that time it was purchased by a Mr. Yoder who was at the time the lieutenant governor of Ohio and used as a party house. The property was then used as a residence by 2, possibly 3, families before we purchased it in 1980.The woods and creek are a prime place for kids (& adults) to explore. The neighbors are great.
Across the street and behind the neighbors is the 400+ acre Woodhull Nature Preserve which has abundunt wildlife. Fox, pheasant, turkey, deer, and piliated woodpeckers are a few that show up in the yard and woods.
