Listing No. 27022

c. 1894 Victorian
Louisiana, MO

May-Bray House

This Victorian Gothic home was built circa 1894 by Robert May, a well known attorney from Louisiana, MO. Between 1900 and 1913, the wrap-around front porch with second story railing was added. The brick garage in back was added about the same time and built with bricks left over from the Jackson Middle School located behind the house. John May's daughter and son-in-law, the Bray family, lived in the home until her death.

The home had extensive remodeling in the summer of 2007 and was re-painted in a more "Painted Lady" Victorian style. The garage was tuck pointed and painted to match the house colors. Both the house and garage we also re-roofed. The swimming pool was built in 2005.
