The original structure was constructed from 1899-1901 in the Queen Anne vernacular of local brick and limestone brought by rail from Indiana. In 1976 it was acquired by Alan and Adrianne St. George. In keeping with their mission statement to "recreate the house and lifestyle of the American aristocracy," they expanded the 22 room mansion into a 63 room castle during their 30 years together.

The focus of this elaborate room is the mantelpiece, carved by master sculptor and owner of the home, Alan St. George.
The Chinese Tea Room

"The room of 10,000 dragons" can be used as a sitting room pictured here or converted into a banquet room. Through the Moon Gate can be seen The Chinese Study, and the Chinese Garden through the windows beyond.
The Medieval Hall
The Medieval Hall
The 80 foot long hallway features both French and English Gothic styles. Beyond the Grand Staircase can be found the largest room in the castle: The Beaux Arts Ballroom.

The murals on the walls are hand-painted in oils by Alan St. George with Fragonard's "Progress of Love" now housed in the Frick Collection, NYC.

The room features a life-sized sculptural group of figures called: "The Force of Nature" by sculptor Alan St. George.
