1948 Cottage

Built in 1946, this wood frame home was located on Highway 7 East across from the Marlin football field. It was moved to its present location in 2002 when purchased by the Tate-Hillard Properties LLC. Shirley Horton began remodeling the home and she and family members occupied the home until it was purchased in June 2006 by Kathy Sartor. Reminiscent of the days of old the quaint front porch with wood railings beckons visitors inside. The tin ceiling living room is filled with generations of family photos (early Marlin residents) and an antique mantel. The new owners' love of genealogy is evident with the family heirlooms/antiques and vintage pieces that furnish and preserve the ambiance of the home.

There are two bedrooms with the possibility of a third and two full bathrooms with one having a whirlpool tub. The den has beautiful pine floors, electric fireplace and French Doors that lead to the covered patio. The yard is a comfortable outdoor retreat for entertaining or family time together with beautiful pool area with deck. The home is very tastefully done and invites you to enjoy this lovely and comfortable home.
