Climate in this part of Colorado is usually 10 degrees cooler than Denver. This area usually gets an inch of snow every week or so which melts in a day or two. In March or April, the area usually gets one good snowstorm which can be as much as 2 feet of snow but melts away in a few days turning the lawns green.
