B.W. Waite House

B.W. Waite house
B.W. Waite house
B.W. Waite began construction of his home in 1839 on 110 acres he had purchased. It was completed, in several stages, by 1862 when Waite sold the house, and the 248 acres he had by then assembled, and moved to Dexter Village.
This Landmark Residence was built prior to the Civil War (between 1838 and 1862) and has been meticulously maintained since. Elegant renovations have been sensitive to preserving the historical ambiance while providing all modern conveniences. Gourmet kitchen updates complement the original features: a raised hearth, ceiling beams. The master suite features a large updated bath with clawfoot whirlpool.

Set on five park-like acres, the home is shaded by stately catalpa and butternut trees and enhanced with decorative plantings. Short distance to I94, and 15 minutes to Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan.
