More Information on this Property

Located on 0.52 acres just 1 block from New Highland Park, the master house was fully renovated in 2009, finishing in 2010. The main estate was stripped to its studs and rebuilt with new plumbing and electrical throughout, architectural roof, kitchen, baths, etc. Many historic elements were kept including stairwell, leaded accent glass, 5 fireplaces and much of the original flooring.

The main house has a grand master suite which includes fireplace, beautiful en-suite bath, and a 4th bedroom off the master bath converted to a master closet, all with crystal chandeliers. The kitchen, which was completely gutted, expanded and rebuilt, has top of the line finishes. The 1st and 2nd story porches span the full width of the home and are great for people watching on N. Highland Avenue.

The main home was renovated with solid wood dual pane windows, 2 brand new HVAC units and a tankless hot water heater. In addition, all exterior walls were gutted removing the original plaster so that they could fully insulate the home. Additional floor and attic insulation were added too. All of this creates an energy efficient and soundproofed home.

In addition, there is rental income! This property also has a mother-in-law suite and carriage house currently used as rental units generating $2,570 per month rent.

As you view this expansive property, please consider that buyers can incorporate the mother in law suite into the main house at any time, creating a great office or master bedroom on main.

The property has an expansive front, middle and back yard, all accessible to new owners. The front yard, fenced and locked, is 80 ft. wide. The middle yard, between the 2 houses, is fully fenced and used by the owners. The back yard is 60 ft. wide by 120 ft. deep and full of possibilities.

The current owners have the complete history of the home, including the names of the prior owners and the original application for building permit in 1911 and a photo of the home from the early 1920s.
