With only two owners in the last 100 years, this was the original family home of the Whites who were the builders and owners of the White House Hotel.
For 26 miles of Mississippi beach front property this is probably the house nearest the beach left untouched by Katrina flood waters. The ridge it is built on runs from the lighthouse to just past the old White House Hotel and was the location for the French settlement which served as the capital of the French colonies until it was moved to New Orleans.
