Main House

Structure/Layout
The home has a new roof as of May 2016.
The house consists of the Main house and an ell with a shed/storage area attached.

The Main house is 3 stories.
First floor offers Living room, kitchen, pantry, dining room and library with two access doors to ell.

The second floor has 3 bedrooms and a full bath plus entrance to the ell attic. The full bath on 2nd floor was updated in 2006.

The third floor has one large room and two smaller bedrooms. The large room on the third floor can easily be converted into two additional bedrooms by returning the original middle wall. The middle wall had been removed when we purchased the home. We added the wall back on the opposite side making it two additional bedrooms by returning the original middle wall. The middle walls had been removed when we purchased the home. We added the wall back on the other side making it two additional, though unheated, "summer bedrooms". The opposite side, if the wall were put back, would make it 5 year round bedrooms with an additional two for a total of 7 bedrooms. Adding Rinnai or another heat source to those two bedrooms would result in a total of 7 year round

Heat
The main house has radiator steam heat and we just had them all inspected and are all working great. Boiler with water heater installed new in 2004.

The Ell
The ell consists of slate floors in the full bath, office/rec room and laundry nook. It is heated with Rinnai heaters (propane) vented to the outside.

The Yard
The front yard was graded and railroad ties installed to hold soil for flower and vegetable gardening. The front gets full sun most of the day and has a beautiful array of wild roses, bridal wreath, iris, lilacs, croquis, hydrangea and lilies that bloom from spring throughout the summer.

Additional Information
Beautiful views and an easy walk down the hill to the Penobscot riverside walking path, waterfront, marina, restaurants, post office, book store, banks and grocery store!

The house is cable ready with connections in all the rooms. Fire/smoke/carbon monoxide alarm systems are all in place.

This house needs a loving family to call it home.

The granite slab front steps have boot scrapers embedded in them.

Plenty of room to keep your boat and recreational vehicles, too!
