This house has been written about in 2 books, "Off 13" and the Whitelaw books (vol l)It has a shotgun foyer and cross ventilation windows,common for the era for that breeze off the water. It also has a brick cold storage behind the footing of one fireplace, for hanging hams etc. and approx 4 1/2 foot tall crawl space with concrete floors, rare for the day. It is "grandfathered in" close to the water, as you can not build this close any more. 5 miles from town center, shopping, restaurants and more. Great canoing, kayaking, fishing and crabbing. It sits at the dead end of a approximately 1 mile long road, so it has great privacy and beautiful views. Marina is right across the creek. Lots of deer, great birding, and plentiful wildlife. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Perfect house for the "big house, little house, colonnade kitchen" that sets the eastern shore apart. Original mantels, gorgeous oak beamed ceilings. Structurally very sound. wide plank wooden flooring in great condition.
