Herrick-Haskell Tavern
Situated at the bend in the main road leading from Gloucester Harbor to Essex.
Built before the birth of the country, this large antique has served during its life as both a tavern and the West Parish (West Gloucester) Post Office.

Detached, one room studio/workshop behind home has great potential.

Run your hands over the raised paneled walls in the kitchen and marvel at the skill it took to prepare meals in this fireplace with beehive oven.

The 12 x 20 kitchen has all the modern essentials including dishwasher, garbage disposal, wall oven, and cooktop. You could even try fireplace cookery.

Fireplaces still have original moldings and trims. Floor boards in two rooms average 16" to 20" in width.

Slightly more detailed paneling surrounding the fireplace in this room obviously meant for special guests.

Bedrooms are good size (14x16, 15x16, 9x14) and have decent sized closets.

Nestled beside the Studio out back is this delightful patio area - a cool private space to enjoy the outdoors.

Scout around the patio and discover this bit of whimsey added by a previous owner of this delightful home.
