History

Built circa 1930 by J.B. Messick and wife, Cassie.
Mr. Messick was a local lumber dealer who built this house from Long Leaf Pine, the legendary southern yellow pine of forest history. Original French doors open into the Dining Room with original built-ins. The Dining Room walls and ceiling are painted Long Leaf Pine. The Living Room fireplace wall is natural Long Leaf Pine. The Living Room walls are natural pine currently covered with sheetrock. The exterior is all pine, presently covered with vinyl. Mature landscaping throughout the property complete this Southern Living Carolina Cottage.

Outdoor Living

The screened Garden Patio is reminiscent of true southern living. The Patio is equipped with a ceiling fan and shaded by wonderful Charleston style shutters and doors. This beautiful area overlooks the expansive cypress fenced backyard and mature gardens.
