The Turner House

The Turner House was built by a local carpenter circa 1850's who was responsible for other buildings in Upper Marlboro and then later owned and inhabited by Thomas J Turner, editor of the Planter's Advocate newspaper. The Turner House is an important componet in one of the few 19th century streetscapes left in Upper Marlboro.
