The Downtown Historic District offers specialty shops including a pewter foundry, antiques, gift shops and more.
Walk from downtown to the beautiful Riverfront Park where you can enjoy the views from benches or launch your boat.
Other sites of interest include the Louisiana Public Library, a Carnegie Library, the Stark Brothers Nursery, the oldest fruit grower in the country, River View Cemetery dating prior to the Civil War, Henderson Park with views of Champ Clark Bridge, and the old Glove Factory now a sculpture park.
Louisiana is the location of Pike County Memorial Hospital. Louisiana hosts the annual Country Colorfest in October, the July 4th Spectacular at River Front, the Taste of Pike County, Paddlefest, 50 Miles of Art Studio Tour, and more. Louisiana has a population of approximately 5,000.
