The structure is in very good shape, needs some foundation work under the existing kitchen. Central air conditioning and energy efficient furnace with an alternative heating source keeps winter bills low for this fourteen room home. New electrical service and much new wiring have been added. A separate service for the 40 x 40 partially heated pole barn/garage.

The servant’s quarters and summer kitchen regale history of the post slavery era and the rich history of the Underground Railroad in the area. Although no documentation has been found to the direct involvement of the homes usage in this movement, many rumors exist.


The old barn and carriage house has been replaced by a 40’ x 40’pole barn. Included within it are two heated garage stalls with automatic doors, a large bay that fit a motor home, a shop area, and a large loft with shelving for added above the garage portion is perfect for storage. Separate electrical service. Summer kitchen structure near back door makes a great potting shed or possible guest cottage.

The yard is amazing with its established perennial beds featuring over two hundred hostas of different varieties. Among the many trees are nine spring blooming varieties. And a small garden pond feature in the side yard adds to the abidance of the serene garden room. There are plenty of blooms from spring, to fall.
