Lovely wide original pine floors in excellent condition. I love the flow of the floor plan on the ground floor. The front living room, dining room, family room and kitchen all open to each other.

I should have tidied up a bit before taking this but it shows the layout and size ok. The family room is through the door on the far right and the dining room through the one on the far left of the picture. There is a desk area on the left next to the window. The wall of cabinets includes two with large pull out shelves for tons of pantry space, and two that we currently use as cubbies for the kids' coats, backpacks etc.

Local / Regional Links.
The local elementary school is within easy walking distance and is a great neighbourhood school with the additional benefit of a "classical curriculum" - students start French in 1st grade and do Latin in fifth grade. The teachers are terrific and our children loved it there. All students have the chance to take up an instrument in fourth grade and the band and orchestra are also really good.
Hall High School, an easy bike ride away on quiet side streets
This is one of the two excellent high schools in West Hartford. One of our children is in his second year here and loves it. The music, sports, theatre and choral programs are excellent, most especially the jazz program. Kids here go on to excellent colleges and are extremely well-prepared.
The new shopping and entertainment area of West Hartford.
Movies, restaurants, Crate and Barrel, Barnes and Noble and lots of lovely boutiques in an almost quaint, walkable centre has added a new dimension to West Hartford.
