Little Lake Eloise Lakefront Home

The home was built by Edward Lundberg,a native of Sweden who emigrated to the United States in 1886. A skilled cabinet maker, he is responsible for many of the unique features of the home such as the beautiful hardwood flooring designs and built-in shelving. In 1910, Lundberg established an orange grove on the shores of Little Lake Eloise and began to build his dream home and landscape the property.

This historic lakefront residence built in a Colonial Revival style has seen Winter Haven grow over the years. A large veranda invites you into the home. The entrance door complete with beveled glass, fanlight and sidelights alerts you to the old world charm to be found within. A large living area with two fireplaces and arched doorways leads into a formal dining room. Hardwood floors with elaborate parquetry original to the residence enhance the living room. A remodeled kitchen with tile floor, Corian countertops, and cherry cabinetry is adjacent to the dining room. From the tiled sunroom, windows on three sides offer a panoramic view of the lake. A bonus room off the sunroom is a great place for a home office or exercise room. A master bedroom with full bath, walk-in closet and lake views complete the first floor. On the second floor, four bedrooms, each with a corner exposure, and a bath are located off a central hallway, as well as a doorway leading to a small observation deck.

The house features a carport as well as a detached two car garage. The lot is 1 acre, features mature landscaping, 200 ft on the shores of Little Lake Eloise with a boat dock and hoist.
