Walk into History....enjoy comfortable country living.Wonderful historic log home built in 1870s but updated for comfortable living. It's nestled in the farmland of southern Indiana, 20 minutes from I-65 and 40 minutes from Louisville, Kentucky. The interior has exposed original logs as well as pine covered walls and hardwood floors, some of them original. The kitchen has beautiful handcrafted cabinets and a huge pantry along with a sit down bar with a polished wood top. It is modern with a new dishwasher. The dining room is large enough for your pretty furniture and leads out to the deck and brick sidewalk that passes by the flower gardens and leads to the 20x40 inground pool. As you walk into the house from the covered front porch, you enter the sitting room, cozy in winter as you sit by the wood stove and read or just relax. The big bathroom has a claw foot tub along with a modern shower and a small utility room off the back for your washer and dryer. The living room with pine walls is across the hall from the master bedroom that is elegant with a big walkin closet. Go up the stairs into the loft and pass by the library that could be used as another bedroom and enter the huge bedroom with roomy closet. All new carpeting upstairs and separate heat and air. The attached garages blend in well with the house and are a storage dream with electric and water. There is room in them for at least six vehicles. The oversize pole barn has concrete floors as well and sits right next to the pool for storage convenience.
