Historic J.K. Hand Home
Jasper K. Hand purchased this house in 1915 when he moved his pharmacy to the village of North Charlotte. His only son, Frank R. Hand, born in the home in 1917 and lived there all his life until 1998 when Waymon and Carol Bullard purchased the home. Waymon, being a building contractor experienced in historic preservation, started a Restoration project that would last a decade. The original features of the house have been restored and updated with new plumbing and electrical wiring, new energy efficent HVAC systems, and new insulation in the walls. Many artifacts found on the property will remain. The land around the home has been developed into a small community of reproduction Sears catalog homes. It is a close knit community, with the residents watching out for each other.
This community is experiencing much growth,it has become known as NODA, (short for North Davidson St.)
