The Michael Rugh House
Unique historic stone home located convenient to the major city of Pittsburgh. Built circa 1790 by prominent Westmoreland County attorney and statesman Michael Rugh, who brought the architectural plans back from Philadelphia after serving as a State Representative.
Rough-cut local sandstone exterior with layout and design, features and paint colors all restored to the original on both exterior and interior. Living Room, Dining Room, Den and Master Suite incorporated into original stone structure. Original hand-forged hardware, wide-plank flooring, front entry door and summer kitchen with walk-in fireplace have been retained and restored.
