S.O. Russell House built Circa 1888. This showplace with timeless elegance was recognized in "Leslie--A Place in Time" as historic. Mr. S.O. Russell was one of Leslie's most notable citizens and has been mentioned in many history books.

Many improvements have been completed and all the work has been documented including the following:

-- All rooms throughout have been stripped and replastered, insulated with blue board (fireproof and water resistant--type X), and mostly rewired.
-- There is blown insulation throughout including the attic. The ceiling in the kitchen was also insulated.
--The chimney was totally rebuilt and tucked.
--There is a new roof with architectural shingels (approximately 10 years old)
-- all exterior walls have cellulose insulation.
-- New hotwater heater.
-- New boiler in 2006 -- steam/radiator heat
-- Support columns have been installed under the house.
-- All the porches have been rebuilt
-- The stone foundation was re-tucked on both the interior and exterior.
