Built in 1885 by owner of BRC Lumber Company.

Using fine choice woods as walnut staircase to yellow poplar framing, beautiful heart pine floors hand cut nails and wooden peg interior doors with porcelain knobs, box key locks with transoms. Victorian boot scrapers on steps and original buggie stepping stone in the yard the lady of the house would have used.Gothic arched windows with closing shutters on the front porch. Hand-cut stone border that leads to a beautiful french drain.

Most remodeling complete: new drywall from top to bottom. House was rewired in the 80's complete installation in walls. New 5 ton Carrier central system electric. Lots of storage upstairs. Beautiful bay window. Original front and screen door.

This house has been loved and cared for by all of its owners. It sets three blocks from downtown where you will fine a nice walk in the evening passing several historic homes. 65 miles west of Chattanooga and 75 miles Southeast of Nashville Tennessee.
