Craftsman Bungalow Maui Plantation Home
A Craftsman bungalow plantation home in a vibrant Maui, Hawaii, beach town. It's beautiful, functional and unique, in the classic plantation style.Very few plantation manager homes of this size, quality and detail were built in Hawaii, particularly on the sparsely populated outer islands. This property is fully restored.
Modern Trex decking was installed on the front lanai porch in 2008. In 1997 the roof was stripped of all of the old roofing and a new roof was installed.
The garage is an original building with new Hardi-Plank siding and a new roof,(2001,) and new windows, one which is 48"X60". In the back of the garage is a full bathroom with new lo-flo toilet, shower & vanity.
The strikingly handsome historical Craftsman bungalow is on 1/3 acre of lush tropical landscaping 300 feet from a beach access. The southshore beaches extend for miles down this coastline. The home is secluded by hundreds of mature palms, flowering trees and tall clipped hedges.
It was moved in 1964 from it's original deep-water harbor location on the windward side of Maui to the sunny Kihei/Wailea resort area.
Walk 300 feet to the ocean shore for a swim, kayaking, surfing or just to watch the whales offshore.
