According the the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County this Jacobethan/Tudor Mansion is situated in an area that is on the National Register and is noted as a 'Significant' property. It was built in 1889-1891. A picture of the residence was published in 1891 in The Art Work of Lancaster. The main residence and 3-car carriage house feature whimsical multi-gabled rooflines accented with half-timbering on the projecting gables. A large chimney on the East side of the home has a corbelled top.

The East facade's original wooden porch was replaced at some point in the past with the current arcaded porch.

The driveway to the right side of the residence leads to a circular drive graced by a giant shade tree. The carriage house offers an apartment with living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom and bath upstairs and a sitting room on the first floor.

Behind the carriage house is a large, private garden.

The main door of the residence opens on to a stunning foyer, featuring a grand staircase, fireplace, coffered ceiling and parquet floor. Other rooms on this level include a large L-shaped living room with fireplace and coffered ceiling, dining room with faux fireplace, powder room, arboretum leading to a private back deck, kitchen, and butler's pantry.

The second floor offers 2 bedrooms each with private baths, a large master bedroom with walk-in closet, window seats, and fireplace. The master bedroom shares a bathroom with a large adjacent room which could be a 4th bedroom on this floor or home office/sitting room.

The servant's staircase from the kitchen leads to the third floor which has one full bath and two possible bedrooms one of which has a second adjoining room.

Minutes from downtown Lancaster's thriving artistic and cultural activities, this is the perfect residence for those who desire a one-of-a-kind home that captures Old World style. Timeless.
