Historic Landmark - Former Office

The Kinnard-Haines Company pioneered gasoline-powered agricultural equipment. The inside is now a typical layout single family home bed-bath-bed with LR across the front, DR, KIT on west side. Building exterior is on the Minneapolis Historic Preservation Commission Landmarks list. New flat membrane roof and gutters in 2008.
Designed by architect Adam Lansing Dorr as an office for Kinnard Haines Manufacturing, this is the only remaining evidence of the firm that made the well-known Flour City Tractor. Reworked into a single family home in the mid-1970s by a prominent local family. On the Minneapolis & Saint Paul Home Tour in 2004 it featured the current owner's contribution, a warmly colored, brightly-lit basement finish.

Barely visible from the outside in daylight, these original stained glass windows glow inside. Living room is painted a lovely yellow-gold which plays up this effect even more.
