Victorian Eclectic with Unique Architectural DetailsThis one story Victorian Electic was built in 1890 for John W. A. Timms, proprietor of the Phoenix Planing Mill, which probably explains the lavish use of wood trim. It has hip roofs with boxed eaves. At the front is a small decorative gable with wood paneled sunburst decoration. Below it are a pair of stylized owl heads, and there is also built-up side trim and projecting sills. This one-story stuccoed adobe house contributes to the architectural character of the Avenues. |
