Chestertown, the county seat of Kent, the Eastern Shore of Marylands's oldest county, was founded in 1706 and served as a port of entry during colonial times. A town rich in history, its attractions include a blend of past and present. Its brick sidewalks and attractive antique stores, restaurants and inns beckon visitors and residents alike to wander through the historic district and enjoy homes and places with architecture ranging from the Georgian mansions of wealthy colonial merchants to the elaborate style of the Victorian era. Second largest district of restored 18th-Century homes in Maryland, Chestertown is also home to Washington College, the nation's tenth oldest liberal arts college, founded in 1782.

This very affordable home is located within the Historic District of Chestertown, an historic colonial town located on Maryland's Eastern Shore on the Chester River in Kent County. Modern ammenities include central air conditioning, spacious closet space, and energy efficient sashes and doors. Victorian porch trim, standing seam tin roof and the "Folk" Victorian design lines add to the captivating period atmosphere. The nicely landscaped private courtyard is accessed from this property's side kitchen door or the covered front porch.

Chestertown lies due east (across the Chesapeake Bay) from Baltimore, and only ninety minutes of driving time from the metropolitan centers of Philadephia, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore.
