The Old Jackson Family House
Built with Queen Anne Style and Eastlake detailing. Some of the notable features are pocket doors (plain panel), original 1905 light fixtures, and original ornate fireplace and wood mantle. The front of the fireplace has original refinished cameo coverplate and iron grate.The wood and oval, beveled glass front door opens into the entry hall with a three landing staircase. Hardwood floors designed for area carpets are in 3 of 5 first floor rooms plus the entry. There are balustered colonades dividing living room from the parlor. Both rooms have bay windows. Original wood trim around windows and 8-1/2 ft wooden, interior doors and baseboard.
Outside, the carriage house with 1-1/2 stories. It has large stationary windows on each side. Each window as 14 lites surrounding them. Sitting in town on 1.24 acres in a "Park-like" setting with wrap-around front porch and screened in back porch.
