Interesting features and facts
This house was one of an original "gated community"; the pillars still stand at the end of the street. It was custom built with the quality of the past. The house is almost pristine if you value the authentic features of a historic home. The kitchen cabinets are still intact and very usable, as well as a great pantry in the laundry room. There are numerous nooks and crannies to be found for storage. The attic over the back gable that comprises the downstairs bedroom, bath and laundry has been turned into a large closet. There are pipes coming from the bath below that indicate the original plan was to add a bathroom in this attic room. The stairs do a fun center turn with two landings to reach the upstairs bedrooms. The small bedroom has two closets, perfect for children. Three children could easily live here, two in the big bedroom and one in the small. It's close to one of the best elementary schools in Ontario. It is situated between the 60 Freeway and the I10, two of the main travel arteries in the Inland Empire. A late addition garage was converted to a workroom/recreation room. The original carriage house was torn down to build the garage. The yards are both small, but big enough to do some great plantings along with the present two orange trees and the very fruitful lemon tree in the back yard. There's a small brick patio in the backyard. It's a beautiful house with lots of the feeling of the past, but with all the amenities of the present.Clapboard wood siding and original windows
The original clapboard wood siding is in good condition. The original windows are still intact and have solar screens on the west and south facing windows to help with insulation. There is insulation in the attic areas.Archived in November, 2012
