History
Truly a community gathering place for years within the town and so much great history and character in this space.Other interesting tidbit of history, June Carter Cash was with the Bewley Chuck Wagon when she sang at the Matthies Grocery store in 1940. Bewley Best Flour was sold in the store and the Wagon was on tour around the country, many local folks came to hear her sing.
Recent Improvements
The store itself was remodeled and added on to over the years.Upon purchase the seller converted what was formerly storage space for the store into living space and truly made this important part of local history shine.
