The public schools are in walking distance and there is also a private academy for K-12. There are many churches of different faith.
Downtown is only 2 blocks from home and has a variety of shops all on Main St. All within walking distance. A gym and health food store, florist & furniture stores. Several beauty shops and barber shops. Resale shops and specialty shops. Also a farmers co-op . There are 2 banks in town and gas stations, also a grocery store and 2 drug stores. Great places to stop for lunch and fresh vegetable stands. The courthouse and city hall are downtown along with attorney offices and police station.
All sorts of home grown fruits and veggies in the summer, all from local farmers. Some of which have roadside stands. Nothing better than a thick slice of watermelon right from the garden or a BLT with fresh tomato. Although Greensboro is a small town there's plenty of business here and plenty of room for more business. Along with the historic charm, it's quiet and very safe. ONCE YOU'RE HERE YOU WON'T WANT TO LEAVE.
In the next town over you will find all sorts of shopping, many places to eat and Walmart.
A short trip will take you to some of the south's most beautiful states. Georgia, Florida , Mississippi and Louisiana. Then of course there's the beaches at Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
