Every year since 1971, preservationists around the country have joined together in May to celebrate National Historic Preservation Week. The National Trust initiated Preservation Week as a way to showcase grassroots preservation activity in communities nationwide. This year, Historic Charlotte has again partnered with the Charlotte Historic District Commission to organize Preservation Week in Charlotte, NC. This house is the 2004 Best New Construction Honoree.

New Construction
The original stucco and asphalt shingle house was demolished. A 1 ½ story bungalow style house was constructed with stone foundation, cedar shake exterior siding, wood trim and architectural shingles.
