Bishopville, South Carolina

Classic, Privacy and Charm
Classic, Privacy and Charm
The Manor is one of the best examples of early twentieth- century architecture. Built between 1914 and 1918, this two story Neoclassical brick dwelling is as unique now as it was in 1918.

The house is a 2 story, brick rectangular building. The main facade is a free standing, two story portico with 6 Corinthian columns. Above the columns is an entablature with round medallions in the frieze and dentils. On the roof of the portico is a ballustrade and decorative railing. The interior includes coffered ceilings, dentils, urn and garland designs and other classical motifs. At the rear of the house are 2 original, one story brick, hipped roof buildings which serve as a 2 car garage and the original smokehouse now used as storage. This home has been listed on the National Registry of Historical Places in 1985 and is known as THE MANOR-TisdaleHouse. Bishopville, SC.

Ownership of this historical residence has remained in the same family since 1918. The dining room suite was custom built for the home. The Manor has been meticulously maintained and cared for over the years. A standing seam metal roof was installed in 2006, a 4 ton split system HVAC unit was installed for the 2nd floor in 2013, a 5 ton Seer HVAC heat pump was installed for the 1st floor in 2014.

A must see to appreciate the grandeur of this historic home!!!!
