Built in 1914, this charming 3 story Victorian home has been restored beautifully. Home has lots of historical significance as it was constructed out of "culled" ties from a local rail yard that were purchased for 25 cents a piece that did not meet railroad standards - walls were a solid 8" of oak.

The land the home is built on was adjacent to the tie yard. It is situated beside the South Branch Railroad Station along the South Fork Branch of the Potomac River. It is surrounded by brick and stone walkways and beautifully landscaped. The antique 2 story log carriage house doubles as the garage on the lower level and has living quarters or storage above.

Home has lots of extras including hand done crown molding throughout the entire house, built-in bookcases, unique woodworking, and tin punch cabinetry in both the kitchen and upstairs bonus room. The bonus room boasts hardwood floors, a kitchenette, 1/2 bath built to resemble an outhouse, and gas fireplace. Main Kitchen includes old wood cookstove along with modern appliances, brick wood fireplace, and large eat-in area for cozy meals. Separate dining room can be used if entertaining, then relax in a formal sitting room with your guests.
